Joel Johnson takes up a rare character study on the life of Laban from Genesis chs 29 and 30. On the surface, Laban was gratuitous and generous, but turned out to be deceptive and devious. Jacob however did not get even, but honoured the Lord by submitting to Him. Joel also draws from New Testament examples in this very helpful comparative study.
