Why this waste?

Easter Conference 2016 – Dan Shutt challenges his audience not to waste their lives on self, but to “waste their lives” for Christ. Others thought that breaking the box of costly ointment on Christ (in Mark Ch 14) was “a waste” – but any sacrifice for Christ is highly valued and eternally significant. “What the world calls waste, God values highly”. An Overview of 1 Corinthians (38 mins)

Peter Scarsbrook gives an overview of the apostle Paul’s first epistle to the Corinthians. He works through the 16 chapters of the epistle one by one, outlining each chapter’s chief characteristics and giving practical teaching therefrom. Michael Martin’s Testimony of Salvation (9 mins)

Raised in a Roman Catholic orphanage in Bombay, India, Michael Martin harboured aspirations after the Priesthood. However, his life took a different turn and he ended up hearing the gospel preached by the late evangelist Michael Browne, of Bath, England. After a struggle, Michael Martin finally understood that Scripture is inspired and authoritative, while “Church tradition” is just man-made. Convicted of his sin, Michael came to trust in Christ alone for salvation (Testimony given 6th Mar 2016)

David Montgomery’s Testimony of Salvation (33 mins)

David Montgomery relates the story of how he was saved while studying at Warwick University in the UK. David was brought up in ceremonial Christianity (christening, confirmation, communion etc.), but was ignorant of the gospel of the grace of God. An Overview of the Book of Zechariah (49 mins)

Gary Woods gives an overview of the book of Zechariah. He gives the setting and context of the book, outlines the main characters of the time period (Haggai, Zechariah, Zerubbabel and Joshua) and touches on the 8 visions in the prophecy. The Christological references in the “branch” prophecies of 3:8 and 6:12 are developed, as well as the important prophetic passages in Chs 12-14 which are looked at from a dispensational viewpoint (Message preached 11th Feb 2016)
