Tim Lewitt takes up on the life of Enoch from Hebrews ch 11. He draws the time-line of Enoch’s life and emphasises the importance of walking with God despite the defilements of the age in which Enoch lived. A very challenging and practical message.

2 clear calls from The Lord to ‘ Follow Me’ (51 mins)

John Salisbury preaches on Peter’s two clear calls from the Lord to “Follow Me”. In Mark ch 4 the Lord is signalling Peter to fishing and discipling. It involves casting the net, mending the net and cleaning the net. In June ch 21 the Lord guides Peter to shepherding. Peter recalls this encounter in his own epistle where he exhorts to the saints to “feed the flock”. A very edifying and challenging word.

What is your life? (33 mins)

Arran Kennedy preaches the gospel from James ch 4 vs 14. He latches onto the Biblical question ‘What is your life?’. Arran emphasises on the pertinency of this question. The Bible does not ask ‘ what is life’, nor does it ask ‘what is life for’, or ‘what is our life’. The poignant nature of this question is that is asking about YOUR life. So then, have you considered where you will spend eternity?..

Cameron Piper preaches on the 2 thieves on either side the Lord Jesus on the cross. Based on Luke ch 23, the theif who acknowledged Christ as Lord was assured of being with his Lord. Just within hearing distance of the Cross of redemption, this thief’s cross became a cross or reception having received Christ as Lord. On the other hand, his comrade ended up in a cross of rejection. Both had the same opportunity to salvation. So will you…

Roy Mathews gives a brief exhortation after the emblems based on Hebrews ch 3 vs 1 to 6. Having given an introduction to the epistle based on the supremacy of Christ, he focuses on the Title – the Apostle and High Priest, he concentrates on Who Christ is and What He has done. Consequently, we would do well hold fast to our faith, hope and promises given to us

Possessing our Possessions in Christ (43 mins)

Jonathan Varghese preaches on the riches a believer has in Christ. He reviews the possessions which the children of Israel had in Joshua ch 18 vs 1-3 and then focuses on Ephesians ch 1. He considers the source, sphere and security that we enjoy in Christ. In light of all the blessings the believer is introduced to at conversion, his concluding remark is “are you a happy Christian?”.

The Majesty of Jehovah God (42 mins)

James Varghese extrapolates from a familiar New Testament verse (1 Tim ch 2 vs 5) to expound on 4 Old Testament characters – Moses, Eli, Solomon and Job. If the majesty of Jehovah God has lost its truth on you, if the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ doesn’t appeal to you as it did the day you put your trust in Him, if the Bible doesn’t excite you anymore – then we trust this message will speak to you.

Basic assembly truths – Fragrance, Freshness, Fruitfulness & Feasting (42 mins)

John Griffiths takes up basic assembly truths by comparing the NT assembly as God’s garden (1Cor 3 vs 9) with OT pictures from the Song of Solomon ch 4 vs 5 to ch 5 vs 1. Mr Griffiths explains that the assembly is a place of fragrance, freshness, fruitfulness and feasting. This is a very rarely drawn out truth from the Song of songs and merits listening more than once.
